Whom God Chooseth

When I think of my history....all that God has done in my life....I cant take it all in.  There have been trials, problems, mistakes, heart breaking times that He has used to shape me into more of what He wants.  So often i am stubborn, but He still has a plan and works in my life.  And he will work in yours.  God cares about you too much to leave you alone.

I found this poem at one of those times when I was broken and didnt understand that God was trying to work in me.....

Whom God Chooseth
by Alfred Flemington

When God wants to drill a man,
And thrill a man,
And skill a man,
When God wants to mold a man
To play the noblest part;
When He yearns with all His heart
To create so great and bold a man
That all the world shall be amazed,
Watch His methods, watch His ways;
How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects;
How He hammers him and hurts him,
And with mighty blows converts him
Into trial shapes of clay which
Only God understands;
While his tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands;
How He bends but never breaks
When His good He undertakes;
How He uses whom He chooses,
And with every purpose fuses him;
By every act induces him
To try His splendor out—
God knows what He's about.

Focus and Concentration

I dont know if you are a big blog reader, but John Pearson's is a good one.  I thought this was especially good about Focus and Concentration.  Tell me what you think.

"The power of focus and concentration remains largely untapped. This is some great info.

Much of what gets blamed on poor time management is actually the result of splattering ourselves in small quantities against a range of things which we will probably never finish. The man determined to finish a task fully and to know all he can about it will find a multitude of success. The man who doles himself to such a range of tasks as to leave no stone unturned will find nothing built though he touched every stone. O.S. Marden said, "Not many things indifferently, but one thing supremely, is the demand of the hour. He who scatters his efforts in this intense concentrated age, cannot hope to succeed.

Carlyle adds "the weakest living creature, by concentrating his powers on a single object, can accomplish something; where as the strongest, but dispersing his over many, may fail to accomplish anything."

Delivery tests

Well, you probably have figured out that I am experimenting with this
blog. That could explain why you may have gotten a bunch of
duplicate emails in your inbox the other day.

Well, hopefully that is all over. You should get, at most, one email
a day now with the days posts on the blog.

Hey, its your blog! Comment and write away! Its all open, I made it
that way on purpose.

I figure, why write something no one will read?

Yesterday

Well, yesterday was a good day. We had 8 in the class and Ryan came
in newly-graduated from High school. He is wanting to go into the
Air Force in just about a month or two and is already making plans to
do that, so be in prayer for him and lets make it a good couple of
months for him.

Also, Robert really did a good job teaching on commitment and how
Israel said that they were going to obey with their mouths in Joshua,
but really failed miserably when it came down to it in Judges. So, I
hope we will start to be more committed this week.

And I was glad to see Joel around. We all went out before and after
church and it was pretty fun. Melissa spent the weekend in North
Carolina with a friend, but should already be back by now. Watch out
for them. They are sly-trickster-slick salesmen, and if you let them
talk to you, you are going to end up with a security system for your
lawnmower. They are good. Too bad they are leaving at the end of
the summer. Maybe we can get them to stay.

I hope you are all excited about what God is doing and wants to do
with us. God is already starting to bless so I pray that you will
keep coming and working and learning. God has some amazing things
for us.....just wait, you'll see.
